            CRGCOA Scholarship Winner 2016

The Capital Region Golf Course Owners Association (CRGCOA) offers Two Scholarships annually to a student(s) who has shown interest in golf either through being on a high school golf team, participating in the NENYJR PGA Assoc. or by participating in the sport of golf in his/her teenage years. Each Scholarship is for $1,000. The Criteria for the award is that they Have a sincere interest in golf, a commitment to study in a particular school and be a goal oriented individual. They submit a short report to the CRGCOA Board.

Our own Junior Member ANDREW HARPER submitted a short report with reference to his clear passion in life is golf. He explained his history with the game including his dedication to the game which brought him to the top of the South Glens Falls Golf Team in 2015 & 2016 in his Junior and Senior years of high school. He received the MVP award twice. As a younger teenager he also participated in the NENYJR PGA events. His goal was to go out for the team at Suffolk University where he is currently a Freshman. Congratulations Andrew!
